Kayley, 22 from Berkshire
Kayley took part in the Santa Fun Run in December 2009. Here is what she said about her experience:
"I was in two minds about the fun runs, I totally dreaded the training as I am not the fittest person in the world! However on the day I had a great time, everyone just joined together and supported each other. Parkside will always have my continued support as they are great people working for an inspiring charity or life changing results!"
James, 22 from Surrey
James also took part in the Santa Fun Run in December 2009. Here are his thoughts:
"Doing the Santa Fun Run was not only a great day out in the lovely Greenwich Park, but a brilliant way to raise funds for my local charity. I've seen first hand how Parkside has a positive effect on disabled adults and so I am very keen to continue supporting them however possible, hence why I've signed up for the Superhero Fun Run in June 2010 as well!"

I completed the 2009 Flora London Marathon to raise money for two charities very close to my heart, one of them being Parkside.
My 13yr old daughter Charlotte has been attending Saturday club for many years now and thoroughly enjoys playing and seeing her friends. The support staff are fantastic with her providing an invaluable service to families like ours. It also enables her older brother, Matt to have some much needed respite not to mention Mum and Dad!
I started training in January having only run 10k's and one half marathon previously, by the end of March I had completed the Fleet half marathon and several long runs16-18 miles and I was on target for a reasonable time for a veteran!!
The day soon approached with very sunny weather although not good for running .In the event the weather didn't my running as the sheer adrenalin carried me through the race plus the enourmous smile on my face. My family, parents, sister, niece and nephew all came to support me on the day which spurred me on together with the incredible atmosphere of the crowd and fellow runners.
I finished with a time of 5hrs 45mins 36secs, an hour slower than expected as I picked up an injury at 22miles, although on a positive note with £2000.00 richer for Parkside and Henry Tyndale School. The money was used to help replace a tail lift for one of the Parkside minibuses so it could be used for day trips during the summer.
It was an amazing experience which one day I would like to do again!
